I am a big fan of Jodi Picoult. She may not be the most sophisticated writer -- but I'm certainly not saying her books are trashy romance novels or anything! Both of the books I've read could have used another round of editing to make them a bit stronger, but I find her subject matter and the pace at which the story unfolds to be extremely well done.

I'd recommend this book if you're looking for a quick read that isn't mindless -- I read it in less than three days! Thought provoking topic, believable characters and very fast-paced.
